I normally don’t send two letters in one week, but on Tuesday I mentioned I’d share the cover of the Woman’s World story with my recent 5-Minute Romance.
First, a little back story.
Those who followed my WordPress blog might recall when it came to Woman’s World Magazine, I was a glutton for punishment.
Since 2013, maybe earlier, I’d been submitting stories to Woman’s World.
This was back when you had to submit via snail mail.
They rejected me many times (a lot), but I was determined to one day sell a story to them.
One rainy Saturday in 2017, I was on the phone with my mother. She asked what I was going to do that day.
I was working on my second Love Inspired book, so I told her I planned to write.
She asked if she’d be in the story. When I told her not this time she asked, “Why don’t you write a story about me?”
I hung up the phone, pulled out a spiral notebook, along with a special pen, and wrote Test Drive for Love.
When my parents met, my father was selling used cars, so the story was based roughly on their first meeting.
The day I received word from the editor that they would purchase the story, I learned an important lesson.
Never give up on a dream because God’s timing is always perfect.
Test Drive for Love was meant to be my first.

Yesterday, I received my issue of Woman’s World with my eighth story.
A Sweet Start is now available in stores.
For those who’ve requested a review copy of Second Chance Romance but were told I’d run out of copies, I have good news.
Today I discovered Amazon lowered the e-book price to $1.99.
I don’t know how long they will offer this price, but I wanted to let you know.
