Delusional. Insomniac. Guilty. All words to describe him, Dawson Tanner, full time contractor and volunteer firefighter who hadn't caught a full night's sleep in weeks.
How else did he explain these sudden mesmerizing hallucinations of Charli Blare, his longtime friend and business partner? Her bright smile. The excited lilt in her voice as she'd given him the tour of the broken down house she wanted them to tackle next. The crazy vision of the two of them, raising their little family in that home. So exhausted, between the fires and these weird visions, Dawson misses the pager alert for a fire, and tragedy strikes.
Charli Blare doesn't know what's going on with Dawson lately. Sure, he's worn out from chasing after a serial arsonist, extinguishing the fires, but that doesn't explain the funny looks he keeps tossing her way or why he can't seem to give her a yes or no on buying a stellar property. So Charli commits them without his blessing.
Will this Christmas flip destroy their friendship and their business? Or will it be the restoration of a lifetime? As the arsonist strikes again, Dawson must choose to stay and fight, not just for his faith, but for Charli and their future.
