Hello friends,
Today I’m excited to celebrate the release of book 3 in the Beckett Brother series, GUARDING HER CHRISTMAS SECRET.
Yes, today is the official release day even though many who preordered received their Kindle copy on October 8th…not sure why. Thanks for letting me know.
I hope you enjoy Cody and Hannah’s story.
After the tragic loss of her family, schoolteacher Hannah Simpson hopes coordinating her new town’s holiday festival will keep her mind busy and her past hidden. That is, until she’s forced to work with dog trainer Cody Beckett. As the recently appointed guardian of two of Hannah’s students, Cody sees too much for Hannah to be able to hide her mental health struggles. But as the two of them clash over budgets and event ideas, will a pair of matchmaking twins and a service puppy in training make Hannah and Cody realize a future together is the perfect plan?
If you read THEIR INSEPARABLE BOND or HER SON’S FAITHFUL COMPANION, you know they were set in Colorado, as is my current release.
The video I shared above wasn’t filmed in Colorado.
These gorgeous views (my phone is overloaded) were captured during a recent and long overdue trip to the Virginia Mountains.
The trip couldn’t have come at a better time.
Confession…
I hadn’t opened my current manuscript since the end of January.
Shortly after ringing in 2024, my life changed and the desire to write vanished.
But during the trip, my creative well, that I believed had run dry, was slowly refilled.
Visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains not only refreshed my spirit, but it ignited a spark I’d honestly believed was forever extinguished.
I’m currently (slowly) working on a story that has brought me back to Virginia mountains and it feels really good.
The holidays are around the corner and I know money is tight for many.
As a gift, I’d like to offer some free holiday romance books through November 30, 2024!
Yes, GUARDING HER CHRISTMAS SECRET is included for a free download.
It’s my gift to those who might not have it in their budget to purchase a book.
I want to share my stories with everyone, not only those with a big book budget.
If you read and enjoy the book, I’d be grateful if you would leave a review.
It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, even one sentence can help other readers know if its a story they might enjoy themselves.
FRIENDS WHO WRITE:
Congratulations to my talented writer friends Denise, Jan and Jacqui on their latest books!
Please check them out!
Miracles and Ghosts: A Christmas Collection’s eight tales bring light in the darkest of circumstances. In the novelette, A Perfect Ghostly Christmas, Julie has survived the foster care system and finally comes home. She now owns her grandparents’ house and has received an offer that appears too good to be true. On top of that, the family she felt had abandoned her during her difficult times has reentered her life. But it’s the otherworldly experiences that lead her to something her grandparents left behind. This discovery changes everything and opens a door to danger. The seven short stories explore fractured families, a widower's loneliness, a mall shooting, financial struggles, strained relationships, woodland kittens, and a woman haunted by a red truck. Whether it’s a ghost, an angel, or Santa, some unseen force is there to provide help when needed. A reminder in the busy holiday season or anytime we are never alone, and miracles are possible.
A true testament of character, resilience, and the magic of never giving up.
The year is 1948 and folks in the sawmill town of Crossett, Arkansas, work hard and play hard. Oliver Quinn does both. Oliver is the son of Irish immigrants who firmly believe in pursuing the American dream. His deepest desire is to play major league baseball. He only needs one chance to prove himself.
Rose Blaine is living in a nightmare where dreams don’t exist. She’s suffered for years at the hands of her violent moonshiner father and his partner. During a brutal attack, she must fight back or die. The aftermath is devastating.
Fueled by desperation, Rose strikes a life-changing bargain with Oliver. If he’ll take her and her brother to St. Louis, Missouri, she’ll introduce Oliver to her uncle, a baseball legend.
While their journey is fraught with unseen perils, they forge an unbreakable bond and make surprising allies.
When destiny throws them a curve ball, they must find the courage to create a hopeful future out of the ashes of shattered dreams with newfound fortitude.

A prehistoric thriller in the spirit of Jean Auel, Endangered Species follows several bands of humans. Each considered themselves apex predators. Neither was. Join me in this three-book fictional exploration of Neanderthals and their lives. Be ready for a world nothing like what you thought it would be, filled with clever minds, brilliant acts, and innovative solutions to life-ending problems, all based on real events. At the end of this trilogy, you’ll be proud to call Neanderthals family
Wishing everyone in the US a blessed Thanksgiving.
