Hello friends!
Those who’ve followed my blog for years know I’m a notebook lover.
When starting a new story, I always head to a comfortable spot with a new notebook and a favorite pen.
So for me, today is a day to celebrate!
National Notebook Day is celebrated annually on the third Thursday of May.
Established in 2016 by May Designs, a lifestyle brand known for customizable notebooks and stationery, to spotlight the joy of journaling and writing.

FRIENDS WHO WRITE:
Last week, my sweet friend, Dora Hiers, celebrated the release of SUMMER’S REACH.
Congratulations, Dora! I can’t wait to read it!
You can snag your copy here!
Summer Season has one goal. Two, really. First, grow her animal rescue business and, second, don't succumb to the trappings of love or marriage. After her traumatic childhood, she has no intention of falling in love or bringing helpless children into the world. So, she definitely needs to steer clear of Krew Kingsley. If anyone could make her lose focus, it would be the handsome auto mechanic. Now if only her beloved car would cooperate…
After a ten-year stint in the military, Krew Kingsley is anxious to grow his auto mechanics business and build roots in small-town Willow Valley. Getting his shop running and updating the fixer-upper that came with the property requires all his attention. He has no time for distractions. Especially Summer Season. But her passion for wounded and homeless animals lures him in quicker than lifting the hood to a 60’s Ford Mustang, and his thoughts drift toward filling that fixer-upper with love, laughter, and kids. But he’s been down that road before, and he still carries the scars. No, thank you very much.
So how in all that’s holy does she sweet talk him into fostering a Great Dane? And then he compounds that lapse in judgment by agreeing to pose with King for her fundraising calendar, forcing them to spend even more unwanted time together. But that’s the rub. It isn’t unwanted, and soon he forgets all about keeping his distance and his dismal excuse for a house. Especially when she gushes about what a great job he’s done with the still-a-work-in-progress kitchen and her gorgeous honey-colored eyes light up as if it was a palace.
When a storm frightens King, and practically the whole town shows up to help them search for the dog, Krew realizes that Summer—and all her four-legged and furry orphans—fit into his life as if they were made for him and that simply her presence makes his unfinished house a home. Can he convince Summer that he isn’t a monster like her parents and that he would never hurt her, rather, that he would cherish her? And as Summer embraces faith and love, is a family and a forever home finally within her reach?
