Hello friends!
I wanted to share a few photos of my four-year-old rescue Christmas Cactus. It continues to thrive year after year adding gorgeous color to my office.
Flowering during the barren winter landscape to me it symbolizes perseverance and hope.
Praying we all have a blessed Christmas season full of God’s presence.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Those who’ve been reading my newsletter may remember this meme from my January 3, 2024 letter.
It’s hard to believe that on December 31, 2024 I will have completed my 10th year of daily journaling.
Although 2024 brought many days of heartache, at the end of each day, I was always able to find something to be thankful for. Each entry gives me hope for tomorrow.
For 2025, I’ve decided to switch it up a little.
I’m excited to use this version as it provides more writing space for each day.
FRIENDS WHO WRITE:
Congratulations to my talented writer friends Darlene Fredette and Nancy Lavo on their latest books!
Overstepping the platonic-only rule is as dangerous as fire and ice swirling into steamy combustion.
This summer, Carly Redd focuses on expanding her ice cream business. Coerced into attending her ex's engagement party with firefighter, Noah Harding, posing as her fake boyfriend stirs up a fiery combination, especially when his warm charm melts the ice guarding her heart.
The fire chief’s daughter should wear a Do Not Touch sign, but Noah's interest burned the moment he first saw Carly. Masquerading as her boyfriend is a no-brainer, but convincing Carly to trust him with her heart proves harder than extinguishing a wildfire.
Darlene Fredette is a multi-published author of contemporary women's fiction novels. Darlene's writing is filled with elements of heart, humor, a little cozy mystery, and falling in love. She resides on the Atlantic Coast of Canada (where the summers are too short, and the winters are too long) with her husband, daughter, and two large dogs.
First-grade teacher Riley Vreeland is terrified. When the attention from a recent acquaintance escalates from creepy to threatening, she flees to Village Green. With its limited employment, housing, and amenities, the tiny town is the last place someone would choose to settle. And hopefully it’s the last place her stalker will look.
Serving and protecting the people of Village Green is hard-wired into police officer Sam Walker’s DNA. The new teacher’s fearful response to him and his offer to help sets his suspicions on high alert. What is she hiding? He’s determined to find out.
After Sam delivers a stray dog to her, Riley softens toward the nosy cop. It’s hard to hate the man who supplied her with her four-footed best friend. And his rapport with her first graders is heartwarming. Riley is tired of looking over her shoulder. Can she trust the small-town superhero with her secret, or will the loyalty she admires in him bring danger to her door?
A love of happy endings and a fiction writing course at the community college started award-winning author Nancy Lavo on the road to publication. She’s published her lighthearted romances in both the traditional and inspirational market. She and her husband live in the great state of Texas.
Merry Christmas!
Jill xo
