By now, most of you know that we are a puzzling house.
I don’t mean our home is confusing or perplexing. Of course, when I’m on a deadline, Derek might disagree.
We work jigsaw puzzles—a lot of them.
Working on a puzzle is my go-to activity when I struggle with my writing, or with life in general.
It’s a way for me to process things swirling in my head.
In between the rush of the holiday season, I had a lot going on.
My main goal was to complete a three-book proposal and promote my latest book released on December 28th.
When the stress began to build, I retreated to my puzzle.
I had a lot of fun with this puzzle.
Until the end….
Despite the missing piece, the puzzle had served its purpose.
I submitted my proposal.
Will it be purchased?
That remains to be seen, but you’ll be the first to know.
