That's fantastic news, Jill!! Congratulations! Those Becketts are all so handsome :) I haven't seen Rudy but I know from others that it's a great movie. Time to watch, I think. One of my favorite movies to re-watch is Say Anything with John Cusack. Hope you are doing well!

Okay, surely Jake Becket is Pearce Brosnan, right?

It Happened One Night is an old black and white movie I had the tradition of watching with my mother after each baby was born. I'll always have a fondness and ability to rewatch because of that.

And HUGE congrats on your book deal!!!

Thank you very much, Betsy! I appreciate the congrats.

Yes! You're correct! That's Pierce...he's the oldest Beckett brother.

Got so excited about the contract, I forgot to answer the question. I have a few that I watch every time I see them coming on. One is "Dirty Dancing" because it was the last movie I got to share with my daughter. She loved it too. She thought I was even cool because I already knew the songs by heart. :) I also love watching "Grease". I think it's because of the era and the music - both of which I loved. Christmas movie that I will watch any time of the year and every day I imagine if it was on is an old Hallmark movie called "The Christmas Visitor". I know it's because of our connection with having a child die. Oh what a piece of heaven it would be to see and talk to them one more time.

Thank you for the chance at the contest.

LOL! No worries, Kay. You're entered! What a special memory of time with your daughter. Thank you for sharing that. I loved the music in both movies too. I've probably watched "Grease" 20+ times. I don't recall "The Christmas Visitor" but I'll have to keep an eye out for it during the holidays. Thanks for sharing.

A big CONGRATULATIONS on the new contract! And even a YIPPEE from us readers knowing we have more of your fabulous books coming out soon. <3

Love Donald and why won't he have lots to say - after all he's celebrating too. More corn please!

Expand full comment

Aww...thanks so much, Kay! I appreciate it. Donald was in a very chatty mood when I filmed this. LOL! We've never fed her corn. Maybe we'll give it a try. Someone emailed suggesting peas, but she turned her nose up at that. She loves bird seed in a bowl with water...seed soup!

Try deer corn or chicken scratch (which is the corn kind of chopped into smaller pieces. I bet she loves it.

We'll give it a try! Thanks, Kay. :)
