Hello Friends!
I hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s Day.
Even though I write romance, I’ve never been big on the commercialization that goes along with February 14th.
In our house, everyday is Valentine’s Day!
I prefer balloons over expensive flowers. They last longer!
Many of you have emailed asking about “The Dancing Queen” so I thought I’d share this photo.
While I browsed the journals (of course) in TJ Maxx, my mother found these shoes.
After parading around the store for 40 minutes, she decided to make a purchase.
I started a new puzzle!
It’s been a lot of fun!
A few weeks ago, I shared a poll Family Fiction had for their annual special edition dedicated to the top forty Christian Romance fiction writers.
My friend (thank you, Dana!) sent me the link with the winners.
I was shocked to find my name on the list.
For years, I’ve followed and read many of these authors. I was honored to see my name along with them.
HAPPY RELEASE DAY to my friend and fantastic writer Dora Hiers!
Will a simple summer song bring them back together for a second chance at love…
Cole Kallen never planned to be gone so long. He'd only left Laurel Cove to escape the painful reality of seeing the woman he loved hanging onto his best friend and business partner's arm. Everyone could see that London and Denton didn't make beautiful music together. Cole had kissed her once, and that kiss had rocked his world. But how could a nerdy computer geek compete with all the jocks vying for the popular cheerleader's attention? Before she could reject him, he'd broken it off and poured himself into the company he'd founded with his college buddies.
From their very first kiss, London Carlson had been smitten with the handsome songwriter. But Cole had shattered her heart with some flimsy excuse and avoided her carefully crafted attempts to reunite. His best friend's idea of fake dating seemed like her only hope, but Cole deserted her for a country she had to look up on a map and still couldn't pronounce. After ten years, the digital nomad's back in town for their friends' wedding, his beautiful music making her heart ache for a lifetime with him. But now that his name's included in the popular magazine's most recent list of billionaires, he probably won't even remember her name, let alone that life-changing kiss.
Can London's faith carry her through yet another rejection? Will a song bring them back together for a second chance at love? Or will Cole choose to lead a solo lifestyle forever?

Red shoes are the best and your mom rocks them :-) Have fun with the puzzle. P.S. I wasn't surprised to see you on that list xo
Snazzy red shoes. Interesting about Derek working the puzzle row by row... can't say I've ever seen anybody do that. I only do puzzles online these days... 400-500 pieces in an evening. I work by color and/or pattern. For instance, I'll use up all the red pieces, go to the red and yellow pieces, finish up the yellow then go to the yellow and green pieces, etc.... so I have little islands of color all over the screen! So where is this Ocean Park? I had to Google it. The first one that came up is the one I'm familiar with in Santa Monica... but this is not that one! The second to come up is in Washington but I suspect it's not that either. From the lighthouse I think this must be somewhere on the east coast. In any case, it looks like a fascinating puzzle.
