Here in the Northern Hemisphere we welcomed autumn early this morning.
It’s the time of year when the days grow shorter.
The leaves will soon put on a show of brilliant golden yellow and red
before turning brown and fluttering to the ground.
It’s also the time for our beloved hummingbirds to depart to a warmer
climate.
I love summer, so letting go is never easy, especially when these lively
fellas are no longer around.
But the good news is…
they’ll be back next April and we’ll be ready!

Only a couple more days until Mae's book releases! That hummingbird picture is amazing.
I think I recognize that hummingbird--he visits us in the winter!!! Mae Claire's novel sounds like it's right up my street--I love a good murder mystery and a good ghost story! I just finished up my first course in the UCLA Extension Certificate in Creative Writing Program. It was a lot harder and intense than I imagined--although I've been taking UCLA Extension classes in various subjects ever since I graduated decades ago--but it set me on the path to writing my memoirs which I've wanted to do for a while but didn't know how to get started. My goal is to complete the certificate but I'm not in a hurry. I just returned from a trip to Colorado and now I need to spend some time on my novel. Never a dull moment! Cheers, Roslyn.
