I love the photo with your mom, Jill. Such wonderful smiles. I am in Texas and today the weather is absolutely gorgeous! 75 and sunshine. I'm going for a walk!
Thank you, Jan! Your weather sounds beautiful. Enjoy the walk and the time with your grandchildren! Thanks for stopping by. I've entered your name into the drawing. xo
I live in rural southern Ontario, Canada. Our weather has been up and down like a yoyo. We still have 4 inches of crusty, icy snow. Today it was 1 degree celsius, but tonight going down to -9 (15 Fahrenheit). On Sunday, it will be 16 degrees Celsius (60 Fahrenheit), then the next day 0 degrees (32 Fahrenheit). I can't wait for June, warm weather, no snow, nor ice, nor mud!
Hi Denise! You are on a roller coaster with your weather. I hope you get some warmer temperatures soon! Thanks for sharing today. I've entered you into the drawing. Stay warm!
Hi Jill! So fun to see the cheerful photos of your beautiful mother and lovely flowers. I’m in a suburb of Phoenix where the temperature is currently 81 degrees with plenty of sun. You would enjoy the year round quails in our backyard.
Hi Sherida! I was thinking about you when I put this hummingbird photo into the newsletter. I'm so happy you're enjoying your home in Phoenix...especially that lovely patio. Your blessed with a wonderful climate. I've never seen a quail in the wild, so I would love it! Maybe you can snap a photo for me. :) I hope you and the family are all doing well. I still smile at the photo from Disney World. Thanks for stopping by. I've entered your name into the drawing.
I see from the comments that I'm not alone in my CA 70s weather today! (We are so spoiled.) Your flowers are beautiful. I wish I could keep flowers alive better. :/ Spring has always been my favorite season, far and away. Happy day to you, Jill! :)
I'm amazed by the number of people in CA, Betsy. I had no idea! There were at least 10 direct emails to me that came from CA. It's a good thing the state is so big. :) I'm happy you're enjoying the weather. I love spring, too. Thanks for your kind words about the flowers. I don't really do anything special to keep them alive. I think a lot of it is the lighting. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you had a great day. I've dropped your name into the hat!
In the Los Angeles area we have been running cold/warm/hot/cool and pretty much dry all winter. Today in Culver City (surrounded by the City of Los Angeles) we are looking at a high of 77°F... and in LA, 83°F. By Friday, temps in CC will dip to a high of 59° with drizzle, while in LA it will be 58° with rain and a thunderstorm. I'd much rather have rain than drizzle! Our nights are in the high 40s, low 50s regardless of daytime temps. It's hard to know how to dress so I wear layers that I either take off or put on as the day progresses. The birds and plants are confused about which season it is.
So were you a meteorologist before you became a photographer, Roslyn? :) You report much better than our local weatherperson! I can see why your birds and plants are confused. That's a lot of temperature swings. I'm with you on the rain. Drizzle is nothing but a nuisance, especially when you're out and about with your camera. I hope temps moderate for you. Thanks for stopping by! I've entered your name into the drawing.
Ha ha ha... I've lived in the LA area all my adult life... never used to bother with the weather forecast... in fact it was a joke that meteorologists in Southern California had nothing to do except repeat the same forecast 365 days a year with a few drops of rain thrown in during the winter. But now our weather is so erratic I check the forecast every time I leave the house. Now before committing to a date, friends will say they need to check the weather forecast first! Thanks for entering my name. Take care. r
I would have thought it dead, too, like your Dad thought! Is that a metaphor for other things in life? Hmm… It is warming up here in California. 70’s today! BTW, my daughter will be driving by you (kind of) on her way from Maryland to Arkansas. Look for her wave!
It can be a common mistake, Jacqui. I had an orchid at work that looked like a dead stick for a couple of years before it sprouted a bud. Now it blooms multiple flowers, several times a year. You might be right about that metaphor. :) I'm happy the temperatures are warming up for you. We need to get you to move south! I'll be sure and wave to your daughter. Wishing her safe travels. Thanks for stopping over. I've entered your name!
From what I've heard from my Texas friends, you've described the weather perfectly, Suzan. I hope temperatures moderate so you can enjoy spring without a coat. Thanks for visiting! I've entered your name into the drawing.
Hi Stormy! It's nice to see you here. Sunshine is always good! I hope you get some warmer temperatures soon. Thanks for popping over. I've entered your name!
I live in Flushing, Michigan, a small suburban town about 8 miles west of Flint, Michigan. Weather here is still on the nippy side. Some of our high temps have made it to the low 40's but not many yet. Still a bit early. We have had a lot of sunny days but we are still getting some snow. Someone said they saw a Robin. I haven't seen one yet.
I'm happy to hear you've had a lot of sunny days despite the cold, Karen. If the wind isn't blowing and you can find a sunny spot, the cold is more tolerable. Interesting you mentioned Robins. When we lived in Virginia and I would see the first Robin, I knew spring had arrived. Here in Charlotte, I see them year around. I hope you see one soon, Karen. Thanks for stopping by. I've entered your name!
Hi Nancy! I've received so many emails from CA and everyone has mentioned the beautiful weather. It's wonderful to hear. I hope you were able to get out for that walk...hopefully along the beach! Thanks for stopping by. You're entered in the drawing.
I live in Nebraska and would you believe it was below zero temperatures a couple of days ago but yesterday and today we are in the 70’s. What a crazy winter! They are saying we have a chance for snow this weekend. You never know what the temperature will be here in the middle of the great United States.
Oh my word! That's quite the temperature swing, Marilyn. I sure hope there's some warmer weather behind that snow. We might not know what the weather will bring each day, but you're right, about the US being great. We're very blessed. Thanks for your visit. I've entered you into the drawing.
Good morning! I live in Western Washington. We had some record rainfall yesterday morning and ALL day Monday, but then yesterday afternoon it stopped and looked like a sunny Spring day. Still…lots of “Water over Roadway” signs peppered around the county after all that rain!
Hi Heather! I've had a couple of other emails from Washington talking about all of the rain. I hope things have time to dry out a bit and you're able to enjoy some spring weather. Stay safe! Thanks for visiting. I've tossed your name into the hat.
It’s a beautiful bright sunny day and should be warm enough this afternoon to take my mom out on her porch. She loves sitting in her swing and feeling the warm sun on her shoulders. Can’t wait for spring to get here. So glad I live in the south.
Love the pictures of all your beautiful flowers and birds. They make me feel happy.
I hope you and your mother got some porch time today, Elaine. It's nice to feel the sun this time of the year. Of course, it was freezing at the office. I know you don't miss that! It sure is lonely without your smiling face, but I'm glad you're able to spend more time with your family. I'm happy you enjoyed the photos...they make me happy, too! Thanks for visiting. You're entered! Miss you! xo
The sun and the wind can make all the difference when temperatures dip into the 30s. I hope your temperatures start to warm up. Thanks for visiting! I've entered you into the contest.
It’s currently 34 in Lexington, Ky at 6:00 am this Wednesday morning on my way to work.

I’ll try :)

It's always wise to check the forecast before making plans, especially if you're going to be outdoors with a camera! Thanks for visiting, Roslyn.

Texas. Subfreezing temperature or wind chills then to 60 + degrees within just days; sometimes even the same day.
