It strikes me that your rescued geranium could be a metaphor for the downtrodden characters in your books, ones that thrive with the gentle care you give them. Congratulations!
I may have to get this book for my friend, Jackie who has mesothelioma. She has given up on the treatments because they are doing more damage than the cancer. It takes so long from diagnosis to treatment that most don't make it. I was very lucky that I caught my cancer .super early and even though we have an extreme doctor shortage here, I was treated relatively quickly. I'll look it up. I miss my geraniums. Yours looks wonderful. They know they are loved.
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, Marlene. She may find comfort in reading Miriam's book. I'm relieved your cancer was treated quickly and effectively. This rescue geranium is still putting on a show. We plan to move it inside for the winter. It did well in the house last year. Thanks for your visit. I hope you're feeling well. xo
Thank you for this mid-week refresher! And I love the analogy of your rescue flower….never give up! I just bought The Winding Road. As you know, I’ve had a melanoma diagnosis. I can’t imagine the courage it took to deal with this concerning an internal organ…and the waiting time for treatment. What a strong example of perseverance! Thank you for sharing about this book. Blessings to you, my friend!
My pleasure, Sherida! After what you experienced, I'm sure you'll find Miriam's book quite inspiring. She's definitely a role model for perseverance and enduring faith. Thanks for visiting today! I hope you guys are experiencing some cooler temperatures. xo
Thank you for featuring me, Jill! I'm a regular plant rescuer at Walmart. Your geranium plant is gorgeous! Congratulations on your new release! I pre-ordered it!
It's my pleasure, Miriam. I hope many readers will pick up your inspiring book. That's wonderful to hear you enjoy rescuing plants from the Walmart dumpster. Sometimes I'm amazed by what they put on the shelf. I'll send along the kind words to you from a reader who emailed me. Thanks for your visit! xo
Thank you, Marie. You've got a lot of gorgeous flowers too. I know you have a lot going on, so I appreciate your visit. I'll keep your mother in my prayers. xo
Many of them just need water and fertilizer, Liz. I don't think these stores have the enough employees to properly care for them. But thanks for the compliment! xo
Love that your area offers flowers at a mark down. Ours refuses to do that and I see so many in the dumpsters. Was told that Wal-Mart doesn't have to pay for flowers not sold so they lose money to mark them down here.
That sounds nuts, Kay! Every Walmart and home improvement store in our area attempts to sell their flowers and plants before they are dumped. I'm sorry to hear this. xo
What a lucky little geranium, Jill. I love that it called to you and that it is now thriving. How wonderful to see Miriam's book featured here. What a courageous journey. Congrats on the new release!! So exciting.
Thanks, Jan! Yes, Miriam was quite courageous in her battle against cancer. Thanks for popping by. I'm glad you had fun at your granddaughter's school. xo
Beautiful photos of your geranium, Jill, and I love the story behind it. Thank you for featuring Miriam's book. It struck a deep chord with me. And congratulations on Their Inseparable Bond. I've pre-ordered and look forward to its release. Have a wonderful week. ❤️
I had the same reaction to Miriam's book, Gwen. It's an inspiring story. I'm happy you enjoyed the photos and the story behind the geranium. It makes smile each time I look out the window. Thanks for stopping by and for the introduction to Creston Mapes! xo
Thanks, Priscilla! The geranium continues to amaze me. We brought it inside last year and it thrived in the winter sun. Thanks for popping over today! xo

Thank you for your kind words, Marian. I appreciate your visit today! xo

It's amazing what a little water can do, Betsy! LOL! Thanks for stopping by.
I'd probably end up over watering! Thank you for saving plants!
LOL! It's my pleasure. Enjoy your weekend!

I've never known anyone with rescue plants. I love that you do it, Jill. That geranium is a huge success.
Yes, the geranium has brought a lot of joy. The color is so vibrant. Maybe one day I'll start a plant hospital. :) Thanks for popping over! xo
What a beautiful geranium, Jill. I wish we could grow them but it is just too hot. We love the rescue plants too.
Thanks, John! I'm surprised they won't grow in your area. I know you like all things rescue! :)Thanks for stopping by today. xo
I can't get over your way with rescue plants! You have the magic touch.
