It strikes me that your rescued geranium could be a metaphor for the downtrodden characters in your books, ones that thrive with the gentle care you give them. Congratulations!

I may have to get this book for my friend, Jackie who has mesothelioma. She has given up on the treatments because they are doing more damage than the cancer. It takes so long from diagnosis to treatment that most don't make it. I was very lucky that I caught my cancer .super early and even though we have an extreme doctor shortage here, I was treated relatively quickly. I'll look it up. I miss my geraniums. Yours looks wonderful. They know they are loved.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, Marlene. She may find comfort in reading Miriam's book. I'm relieved your cancer was treated quickly and effectively. This rescue geranium is still putting on a show. We plan to move it inside for the winter. It did well in the house last year. Thanks for your visit. I hope you're feeling well. xo

Thank you for this mid-week refresher! And I love the analogy of your rescue flower….never give up! I just bought The Winding Road. As you know, I’ve had a melanoma diagnosis. I can’t imagine the courage it took to deal with this concerning an internal organ…and the waiting time for treatment. What a strong example of perseverance! Thank you for sharing about this book. Blessings to you, my friend!

I can't get over your way with rescue plants! You have the magic touch.

Many of them just need water and fertilizer, Liz. I don't think these stores have the enough employees to properly care for them. But thanks for the compliment! xo

You're welcome, Jill.

Love that your area offers flowers at a mark down. Ours refuses to do that and I see so many in the dumpsters. Was told that Wal-Mart doesn't have to pay for flowers not sold so they lose money to mark them down here.

That sounds nuts, Kay! Every Walmart and home improvement store in our area attempts to sell their flowers and plants before they are dumped. I'm sorry to hear this. xo
